Going to Tagaytay on day trip is exhausting. We opted to visit Picnic Grove with the scenic beauty of Taal volcano. The vantage view of Taal volcano is really captivating. The weather was hot that time so we can't feel the cool winds. My husband wanted to get near the crater . There are bancas on the go for about 1500 pesos. It is a popular destination for tourists, local and foreign visitors, students on field trips, couples, and other groups. Several tables and picnic sheds are scattered all over the place. You can bring food for your family and enjoy the scenic beauty.
For those who are a bit critical about amenities — cleanliness, and others, Picnic grove lacks that. The view will always be beautiful but it’s something you can see everywhere as long as you are in Tagaytay — even at the side of the road. I'd rather recommend going to Talisay (to the actual volcano spot) and hike up the actual volcano, that is pretty fun and you can finish that in half a day and move on.
Next place to go was Palace in the Sky. In 1979, Former First Lady Imelda Marcos brings a major change to the landscape. The Palace in the Sky is erected as a guesthouse for American President Ronald Reagan - who never arrived. Palace in the Sky is now better known as the People's Park in the Sky. It is poised on the highest point in Tagaytay. But now, wastefully, the prize destination has deteriorated into a dirty and rusty place with some small business stalls inside. It is now open for the public like a park . It has also a Japanese garden . Visitors are likely to go here to enjoy the cool air and they stroll or trek since the road is steep up. There is also an available jeep for those who do not want to trek going up the palace but the ride is not for free, folks.
Check out.
rusty metals
The palace nowadays is far from that the way it looks now.
